Alvarado Fish & Steak House at 481 Alvarado Street, Monterey, California.

Cozy restaurant. Friendly staff were enthusiastic about explaining their menu. Waiters were eager to help, but did back off to let us enjoy our stay and were quick to respond when our eyes wandered toward them. Food was hot, and flavorful. They brewed us a fresh pot of smooth coffee and were happy to combine two entrees into one.

My beloved got a crab cake and crab ravioli combo. So far, it's the best crab cake he's had from anyone. I liked the tang of the ravioli sauce.

I got the holiday pasta. The sauce was filled with flavor, the fish beautifully cooked, the pasta was buttery, you could tell, it was most certainly, homemade. I was unable to finish even after over eating.
